Community Colleges College Libraries Library Services Library Development Institutional Research User Needs (Information) User Satisfaction (Information) Surveys Delivery Systems Community colleges can use market surveys to better understand the delivery of library services from the standpoint of the end user. One such survey, LibQUAL+, measures library service in three dimensions: 1. Affect of Service (patron interaction with library staff); 2. Information Control (availability of needed resources and ease of accessing); and 3. Library as Place (the physical environment). Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Illinois, used LibQUAL+ in 2005, and as a result of the survey, added tenure-track staff, increased the house at two satellite campuses, and made updates to its information delivery capabilities.
