Other goals were the improvement of student grades on a particular Sociology assignment and overall improvement of the students' library research skills. Students were instructed in basic literature analysis skills and were given hands-on training in database searching techniques. While results of the study were mixed, students learned some important concepts and the professors and librarians count the collaboration as successful. Follow-up studies are planned.
