  • One-to-One Computing: The Future Is Now Cox, Marge Hanson, Renee Access to Computers Technology Planning Computer Software School Districts Today's students have used computers their entire lives. Their school classrooms, however, have often held only a handful of computers. Teachers and students have lamented that they needed a computer for every person. For some school districts, one-to-one computing may be a dream; but for the districts who believe students must use technology effectively and efficiently to be successful in the 21st century, one-to-one computing becomes the reality. The authors' district made that commitment and their experiences can help other districts create a successful one-to-one computer program in their schools. The authors share the concepts they have used for their one-to-one computing program. A list of program pitfalls and solutions is discussed. (Contains 13 resources.)
