  • Rejuvenating a Career College Library Harrison, Tiffany Ward, Randall Pace, Sean Cornelius, Andi College Libraries Private Colleges Library Administration Librarians Textbooks Books Retailing Organizational Change Improvement Library Services The librarian for the Stevens-Henager College, Murray, Utah campus was hired in the spring of 2008 and given the task of maintaining and improving the college's library and bookstore. It was soon discovered that many areas needed improvement (processes, outreach, policies, personnel, work-flow, etc.) Fortunately, she possessed skills from previous positions which facilitated these improvements in the library. The bookstore itself was another challenge. At this college, textbooks are checked out to the students for the duration a four-week module and checked back in at the end of that period. Many positive changes have been made regarding the bookstore. We intend to discuss the "drivers" for the improvements, the human factors involved, the upgrades themselves, and the qualitative/quantitative results of those efforts.
