This article, based on the session "Archivists as Educators: Integrating Primary Sources into the Curriculum" looks at the role of the primary source in undergraduate and secondary school curricula and explores strategies for archivists faced with the expectation that they participate as educators. More specifically it is aimed at helping archivists move away from library based bibliographic instruction methods and encourages them to branch out and teach research methods more akin to information literacy for primary sources.
