Not surprisingly, he received a handful of substantially different but uniformly provocative and creative responses, including three from Kent State University. Burton Caldicott, reference librarian of the College of Charleston, stresses that libraries cannot determine the value in collecting, managing, preserving, and/or cataloging e-resources. What libraries can do is use their best judgment about what information will be the most important to preserve and catalog.
