Social networks offer authors and publishers a powerful and positive medium for connecting with readers in a personal manner that is energizing and engaging for both authors and teens. The author discusses how Web 2.0 tools and social networks can be used to enhance and inspire teens' reading experiences while providing students multiple opportunities to interact with YA authors and learn more about the craft of writing.
