- The Best of the Recent Literature Focusing on the User Voeller, Stacy L. Library Services Library Research Use Studies Academic Libraries College Faculty Reference Services Technology Integration Guidelines Workstations The author's focus for this column within the large universe of the public services literature is on articles which stress what is best for the user. That may mean finding out why faculty use or do not use the physical library, considering the elimination of the reference desk, beginning or enhancing a library's virtual reference services, or planning new ways to design public workstations. The author believes that it is important to be more intentional about serving the users in a way that works for them, and not adhering to a method just because it is the way it has always been done.
