Academic librarians are reaching out to freshmen seminar programs, first year orientations, Introduction to College courses, and English composition courses to integrate information-literacy instruction into the curriculum of these programs. This study will examine how libraries are integrating information literacy and library instruction into the curriculum of first year students and focuses specifically on how they are introducing freshmen to information literacy and library instruction.
