These principles "define high standards and ethical behavior in key areas of independent school operations" (NAIS 2006). This author decided that it was time for the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) to acknowledge the vital role libraries play in educating the students, so the author's group sought and received permission from the organization to submit their own draft of Principles of Good Practice (PGPs) for independent school libraries. In this article, the author describes how she used a wiki collaboration to create national guidelines and offers tips for professional practice. (Contains 1 table and 1 footnote.)
