- Implementation of an Integrated Information Management System at the National Library of Wales: A Case Study Evans, Manon Foster Thomas, Sian Information Management Information Systems Government Libraries Program Development Program Implementation Case Studies Foreign Countries Purpose: This paper aims to describe the experiences of the National Library of Wales in implementing an integrated information management system. Design/methodology/approach: Discusses the stages involved in the procurement process, data migration and general system implementation. Findings: Emphasises the need for a well-prepared yet flexible approach to project planning, and the need for consultation and an ongoing dialogue with staff. Research limitations/implications: Describes the progress of the implementation to May 2007. Originality/value: This paper provides a case study for libraries looking to procure and implement an information management system.
