From Twitter, the CDL staff publish the content of their monthly newsletter, "CDLINFO News," and also additional content created by CDL programs and individuals. In effect, @CalDigLib is an information hub, with CDL programs and individuals it follows as the hub's spokes. For them, Twitter is a lively communication channel, and they are learning to use it as they go along. This article demonstrates how social bookmarking is now an integrated part of how the CDL staff interact with the communities they serve and also the wider world of people they don't yet know and discusses how Twitter appeared to offer an opportunity to get CDL's news and ideas out to a wider audience.
