More specifically, it tests whether individual respondents with different values for the warm glow component report different values for their willingness to pay (WTP). The data come from a contingent valuation survey conducted on randomly selected citizens of Korea, where the respondents are asked how much they are willing to pay for public library services. Results show that there is significant difference between traditional WTP and cold WTP, concluding that the traditional WTP value is not the real economic value of the public good. (Contains 7 tables and 1 figure.)
