  • Campus Partner Collections: Expanding the Boundaries of the Library Elguindi, Anne C. Kelshian, Robert Sandler, Alayne Mundt Library Materials Academic Libraries Library Services Library Networks Library Development Partnerships in Education Change Strategies Organizational Change Information Processing Access to Information Program Descriptions Improvement Programs At most colleges and universities, there are a number of small, nonlibrary collections across campus, such as those found in student centers or academic departments. Historically, at American University, partnership with these collections was done through absorbing them into the main library collection. Recently, however, the Library has seen these collections as an opportunity to expand the boundaries of the Library on campus. By adding these collections into the Library's catalog and enabling them to circulate from their existing locations, increased access and discoverability were created without losing the benefits of the current locations of the collections.
