The new team balanced what had been a staff-dominated Access Services team with a library faculty-dominated Reference and Instruction team. This article describes Belk Library's efforts to end the turf war between circulation and reference service models and is based on a presentation given by Johnson and Jennings at the 2010 Access Services Conference in Atlanta, GA.
