Digital curation can be used to address these knowledge management challenges. Digital curation must involve both digital asset preservation and the important value-added function of facilitating user understanding of and engagement with digital resources. This paper presents a model of digital curation that embraces both the digital preservation challenge and the community engagement challenge. (Contains 7 figures and 60 notes.)
