In the Londonderry (New Hampshire) School District, collaboration between classroom teachers and school librarians has been integral to the ongoing success of a district-wide library instructional program. In this article, the authors describe the development of a successful coteaching effort at Londonderry Middle School. They also describe a lesson which used historical stories and provided students with an opportunity to engage in such 21st-century learning skills as cooperation and collaboration, technology integration, and critical and creative thinking.
