The blurring and shifting of tasks for professionals and paraprofessionals, and budgetary constraints do not help the situation. Professionals and paraprofessionals must work in concert and in harmony, pulling in the same direction. This article identifies and discusses some enabling variables that can help the education library leader build a well-integrated staff team of professionals and paraprofessionals who work towards a common goal in a supportive workplace environment.
