contents Youth not in employment, education or training in Asia and the Pacific: trends and policy considerations Ian Nicole Generalao (Author) The report starts by elaborating the definition, components and measurements of youth NEET. Then it summarizes the NEET trends in the region and highlights areas of concern. The NEET trends are assessed over time and by various characteristics for both the pre-COVID-19 period and assessing the impact of the pandemic. As part of national economic and labour market recovery efforts, governments have implemented an array of policy measures to stimulate their economies, boost employment and support enterprises. Some governments have targeted youth in their recovery efforts, as highlighted in part 4. In this part, the Policies geared towards addressing nuanced issues and concerns of youth NEET are also proposed. ILO, [1st ed.] publication.report
