- Navigating the digital and artificial intelligence revolution in Arab labour markets: trends, challenges and opportunities The labour market in the Arab States is at a crossroads, facing persistent challenges while navigating a new era of digital transformation. This report provides a comprehensive analysis of these dynamics. It projects that while the risk of widespread job loss from technologies like generative AI is limited, the opportunity for job enhancement is vast. However, this transformation is not without risks, as it could exacerbate existing inequalities, especially for women and older workers. The report concludes with a clear message: the region should not fear digital change but rather embrace it, implementing proactive, inclusive policies to ensure a just transition that creates more and better-quality jobs for all.
