Commissioned by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) under the Better Regional Migration Management (BRMM) Programme, its primary goal is to assess the current landscape of labour migration in Somalia. This includes analysing trends, identifying the major governance, legislative, and institutional gaps, and ensuring that the forthcoming national policy is robust, protects migrant workers, and contributes effectively to Somalia's post-conflict recovery and national development objectives.
