| contents | The radiolarian fauna found at the 10 sites drilled during Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Leg 112 range in age from Eocene to Holocene. Relatively abundant and well-preserved assemblages are present in Sites 682, 683, 685, and 688. Occurrence tables of 175 species are presented for these sites. For each site, stratigraphic results are summarized in two figures showing the radiolarian biozonation, the inferred hiatuses, and barren intervals. The Pliocene/Pleistocene and Miocene/Pliocene boundaries were not recognized from radiolarian stratigraphy. Pleistocene and middle Miocene radiolarian assemblages are generally abundant and well preserved. New stratigraphic data are given for some rarely described species, such as Cypassis irregularis, Lamprocyrtis daniellae, Plectacantha cresmatoplegma, Pterocanium grandiporus, Pseudocubus warreni, and Phormostichoartus (?) crustula. |
