contents This data contains information on the functional structure of consumer communities per plot from a grassland biodiversity experiment (the Jena Experiment). For each consumer species we assigned the four categorical traits feeding mode, food/ host specialization, stratum, and aerial mobility, and the numerical trait body mass (mg). Functional structure here is expressed by number of individuals belonging to the different categories within each trait and the community weighted mean of body mass.
