contents	Macrozoobenthos was sampled with a multibox corer deployed during R/V Polarstern expeditions ANT VI/3, VII/4, XIII/3, XV/3, XVII/3, XXI/2, XXVII/3, and XXIX/9 (PS82), which took place between the austral summers of 1988 and 2014. Sediment was sieved with a 0.5mm mesh and fixed in 5% formaldehyde; abundance were calculated based on the animal counts back on land. This data set correspond to an update to stations which belong to previously published data sets: - ANT VI/3 (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.834017) - ANT VII/4 (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.834021) - ANT XIII/3 (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.834029) - ANT XV/3 (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.834041) - ANT XVII/3 (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.834074) - ANT XXI/2 (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.834049) - ANT XXVII/3 (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.834057) - PS82 (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.908125) This update includes samplings in the Kapp Norvegia/Austasen area, eastern Weddell Sea, correction of the locations of the stations and values for macrozoobenthic abundance.
