| contents | The data consist of time series of geocentric coordinates for 54 geodetic sites along the transform boundary between the South American and Scotia tectonic plates in Tierra del Fuego, at the southern tip of South America. They correspond to daily Precise Point Positioning (PPP) solutions, obtained from Global Positioning Satellite Systems (GNSS) observations, and are referenced to the IGS14 Terrestrial Reference Frame (TRF). The time series span 24 years, between December 1994 and December 2018. The data were collected for geodynamic studies related to the Magallanes-Fagnano Fault System, including determination of current fault slip rates, seismogenic layer thickness, and quantification of the lasting effects of postseismic viscoelastic relaxation. The data are not smoothed, reduced or altered in any way and could also be useful for studies related to glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) and terrestrial water storage (TWS) variations and their loading effects. |
