The six Mn nodules and four Mn crusts from Y73-3-22D station in the Bauer Basin were analyzed both chemically and mineralogically. One cross-section through each sample was ground in an agate mortar, dissolved with hydrofluoric acid and aqua regio under pressure, and analyzed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry for Fe, Mn, Cu, Ni, Zn, Co, Ba, Ca, Si, and Al. |
