collection Datos científicos de ciencias marinas y ambientales
contents These data contain hourly wind wave and water level information for various locations of the nearshore Hornsund fjord, Svalbard in 2013-2021. The datasets describe 24 deployments and include water levels and bulk wave parameters. The bulk parameters - significant wave height, mean absolute wave period, mean absolute zero-crossing period and energy period - were calculated for two maximal frequencies: observational and modelled, the latter including an infinite high-frequency tail. A further dataset is provided containing files with wave spectra, input pressure measurements from underwater sensors subsampled to 1024 s bursts at 1 Hz measurement frequency at hourly intervals, and the Python code to process the data.
