collection Datos científicos de ciencias marinas y ambientales
contents This data collection contains low-temperature thermochronological data obtained from samples collected in the year 2019 in the Gurktal Alps (Austria). Altogether, 25 samples were collected, including 6 and 9 samples along two elevation profiles located near Innerkrems and Millstatt, respectively. The data sets comprise 1) zircon fission track ages , 2) apatite fission track ages, 3) zircon (U-Th)/He ages and 4) apatite (U-Th)/He ages. The data were collected to determine cooling ages for the Austroalpine nappes exposed in the study area. Cooling ages obtained from the vertical elevation profiles were used to apply thermokinematic modelling to extract detailed information on the timing and rates of exhumation.
