collection Datos científicos de ciencias marinas y ambientales
contents This data collection encompasses Level 1-3 data from dropsonde launches made by HALO and POLAR 5 research aircrafts during the HALO-(AC)³ field campaign in March-April, 2022 over the Norwegian and Greenland Seas, the Fram Strait, and the central Arctic Ocean. The Level-1 files contain data from a single sounding. The file is generated by processing the raw data (Level-0) with state-of-the-art ASPEN software (Atmospheric Sounding Processing ENvironment, v4.0.0) which runs basic quality control and removes erroneous soundings and/or measurements therein. Also the Level-2 files contain data from a single sounding. This file is generated by running the quality control and processing on Level-1 data (cite PDI-37757 here) as described in Ehrlich et al (the reference publication). The Level-3 files contain merged data of soundings from both aircraft and is generated from the Level-2 data.
