contents Water samples from six carbonate springs and one river in the Rovte region, central Slovenia, were analyzed for their hydrochemical properties. Data were collected on discharge rates and physico-chemical parameters: temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, oxidation reduction potential, and major ion concentrations (Ca, Mg, Na, Cl, HCO₃, NO₃, and SO₄). Measurements were taken in the field with monitoring instruments, and samples were collected for further analyzes of ion concentrations in the laboratory of the Karst Research Institute ZRC SAZU, Postojna, Slovenia. The sampling campaign covered one year (summer 2022 - summer 2023), with samples collected twice per month. The study was carried out to understand how different geological units affect the water geochemistry of springs and whether this data can be used to help delimit the boundaries of catchment areas. The study also provides baseline data for a wider research project on the process of dedolomitization in the Rovte region.
