- This collection summarizes the passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) data that were collected at 54.5742° N, 6.1125° E, at mooring DBS08 in the German Bight, North Sea. During eight deployment periods, passive acoustic data were collected between September 2016 and January 2019 by recorders of type icListen (manufactured by Ocean Sonics, Truro, Canada). Recorder ICL1721 was moored during the deployment period from October to December 2018, while recorder ICL1212 was used during all other deployments. The recorders were moored at 39 m depth and scheduled to record at a duty cycle of 10 min per 30 min and at a sample rate of 4,000 Hz. Further details about the data acquisition and processing of this data set can be found in the accompanying metadata file (see Additional metadata) as well as the data processing report (see Data Processing Report). Passive acoustic data archived here represent data processing Level 1+, according to the standards defined in the associated Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) Glossary (Thomisch et al. 2023a).
