  • Raw physical oceanography data was acquired by a ship-based Seabird Electronics SBE911plus CTD-Rosette system onboard RV Sarmiento de Gamboa during the research cruise iMirabilis2, Leg1. Data were collected from 22 CTD stations using a SBE9 s/n 0851 CTD operating at 24 Hz, coupled to an SBE11 deck unit, together with a 24 bottle (12 l) sampler rosette coupled to an SBE 33 carousel deck unit. The underwater unit was lowered at less than 50 m/min. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature and conductivity. Additional sensors such as an oxygen sensor, a WET Labs ECO-AFL fluorometer (FLRTD), a tubidimeter (Seapoint) and a biosperical PAR/Irradiance sensor (Licor) were mounted to the CTD.
