contents Time-series data of physical oceanography and ocean current velocities were obtained from mooring AURORA1 on the Gakkel Ridge from July 2022 to July 2023 to record potential hydrothermal activities related to the Aurora vent field. The mooring was deployed during RV POLARSTERN expedition PS131 (ATWAICE) and recovered during PS137 (ALOIS). The attached archive contains raw data files of five Seabird SBE37 MicroCATs (nominal depths: 114m, 3065m, 3216m, 3367m, 3573m; sampling interval 10min/1h), and four AADI RCM11 current meters (nominal depths: 3064m, 3215m, 3366m, 3572m; sampling interval 2h). The mooring also included four sets of fouling plates and larvae samplers in collaboration with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Auxiliary information such as sensor calibration sheets, mooring diagrams, and schedule files are also provided, if applicable. The SBE37 MicroCAT at 114m (SN 7729) stopped logging in January 2023 due to low battery.
