contents The active Rock Glacier Lazaun is located at Lazaun cirque, a north-northeast facing cirque in the upper Schnals Valley/Val Senales west of Kurzras/Maso Corto in the southern Ötztal Alps (Autonomous Province Bozen/Bolzano – Südtirol/South Tyrol, northern Italy at 46°44'49'' N and 10°45'20'' E). Since 2011 discharge, water temperature and electrical conductivity of the rock glacier stream have been measured at a gauging station situated approximately 100m below the Rock Glacier Lazaun spring ( 46°44'55.17'' N, 10°45'30.23'' E). During summer campaigns, water samples have been collected using an automatic sample collector (SD900 Portable Sampler from HACH). New data will be added regularly, if available.
