contents The Peruvian Andes constitute the central-western part of the tropical Andes, cover an area of 30 124 km² and are characterized by an extensive periglacial environment, mainly in the southern zone. Here we present the first comprehensive inventory of rock glaciers in this region, containing 2338 rock glaciers covering an area of 94.09 km². The data are provided on the morphology and activity class of these glaciers based on their geomorphological characteristics. Topoclimatic characteristics have also been considered for each rock glacier unit: elevation, slope, aspect, mean annual air temperature (MAAT), mean annual ground temperature (MAGT), annual precipitation (AP) and Potential Incoming Solar Radiation (PISR), which provides an idea of which variables act as topoclimatic drivers on rock glaciers in this region of the world.
