contents Extensive balloon-borne vertical profile measurements were performed in the Arctic during a measurement campaign from 21 March 2024 to 12 April 2024 at Villum Research Station in Greenland. The tethered balloon system BELUGA (Balloon-bornE moduLar Utility for profilinG the lower Atmosphere) was used for frequent profiling of the Arctic atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) to examine transitions between its typical states. The payload of BELUGA included a combined turbulence meteorological probe (TMP), containing a radiosonde-based meteorological package and a hot-wire anemometer package for turbulence as well as a broadband radiation package (BP). The BELUGA measurements of the ABL were accompanied by daily radiosonde profiles, which provided supplementary information on the thermodynamic conditions throughout the Arctic troposphere, above heights that the tethered balloon could reach. This collection contains the Level-2 datasets obtained from the tethered balloon (BELUGA) and radiosonde measurements performed during the campaign at Villum Research Station.
