| contents | Here we present major element data [(ln(Fe/Ca), ln(Fe/K), and ln(Al/K)] obtained from two marine sediment cores (CDH-5 and GGC-4) located in the western equatorial Atlantic, off the coast of the Amazon River mouth, along the path of the North Brazil Current, where Amazon-derived sediments accumulated. Major element data were obtained from sediment samples from cores CDH-5 and GGC-4 and determined using energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (ED-XRF) analysis at the Laboratory of Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Humanities at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. |
