contents The Remotely Observing INsitu Camera for Aggregates (ROSINA) were deployed during RV MARIA S. MERIAN cruise MSM107, off NW Ireland, Atlantic Ocean. The system consists of an optical camera capable of operating at depths exceeding 4000 m and a control unit. It captured images of particles within a water volume of 82.5 ml, quantifying particle sizes down to 30 µm in equivalent spherical diameter. ROSINA data were collected at three stations: GeoB24817 in the open ocean, GeoB24822 on the lower continental slope, and GeoB24814 on the upper continental slope. Particle abundance was measured at each of these stations.
