contents Understanding snow and permafrost processes and changes requires long-term observational datasets. This dataset adds detailed snow measurements to the ongoing long-term monitoring efforts of meteorological and permafrost related variables at the Bayelva Site at Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard. We provide time series of snow water equivalent (SWE), snow depth, and air temperature measurements recorded by automated sensors installed in August 2024. The data is carefully processed and quality-controlled and the resulting dataset adds valuable information to the unique long-term data record of the Bayelva station and serves as a baseline for future studies.
