| contents | Depth-stratified mesozooplankton samples were collected in Fram Strait at selected stations of the LTER Hausgarten from 2011 to 2023 with a multinet midi (Hydrobios, 150 µm mesh, opening 0.25 m2). We conducted vertical tows that were standardized five depth intervals 0 – 50 m, 50 – 200 m, 200 – 500 m, 500 – 1000 m and 1000 – 1500 m (or bottom depth). The volume of filtered water was recorded with a digital flowmeter. All net samples were preserved in a 4% formaldehyde seawater solution buffered with Borax onboard. The samples were analyzed with the imaging system ZooScan using the methodology described in Cornils et al. (2022). The images taken with the ZooScan system can be viewed in the EcoTaxa image datasets (see below). |
