contents This dataset provides a temporally resolved record of adult Hexaplex trunculus collected over one year in Bistrina Bay (Mali Ston Bay, southeastern Adriatic Sea; 42°52′19.1″ N, 17°42′02.3″ E). Sampling was conducted at monthly intervals using standardized baited collectors deployed at 6 m depth, ensuring consistent sampling effort across time. Each sampling event includes associated in situ environmental measurements, specifically seawater temperature (°C) and salinity (ppt), obtained at the collection depth using a calibrated multiparametric probe. The dataset consists of individual-level observations with high-resolution biometric and morphometric descriptors. For each specimen, total wet weight (TW, g) and soft tissue weight (STW, g) were recorded to the nearest 0.01 g. Shell morphology was quantified with linear measurements (± 0.01 mm), including shell length (SL), shell width (SW), spire length (SpL), spire width (SpW), total aperture length (TAL), aperture length (AL), and aperture width (AW), following standardized morphometric definitions. These variables enable a detailed assessment of shell form and size variation. Sex was determined through direct examination of reproductive structures, allowing classification of individuals into males and females and enabling sex-specific analyses. The resulting dataset provides a robust basis for quantitative analyses of temporalv morphometric variability, allometric relationships, condition indices (e.g., STW–TW ratios), and population structure.
