contents This dataset provides quantitative estimates of total chloropigments-a (TChl-a) derived from hyperspectral imaging of sediment core SO130_289KL (23°07.34′N, 66°29.84′E; 571 m water depth) from the northeastern Arabian Sea. Measurements were conducted using a linescan hyperspectral camera with a spatial resolution of 87 × 87 µm. The relative absorption band depth index at 671 nm (RABD671), normalized by mean reflectance, was used to estimate total chlorophyll concentrations. The proxy was calibrated against spectrophotometrically measured pigment concentrations obtained through acetone extraction of sediment samples. The resulting record reflects changes in marine primary productivity linked to monsoon-driven upwelling and nutrient supply. This dataset was generated to reconstruct variations in marine primary production and to support interpretations of regional oceanographic and climatic changes during the last deglaciation. Age is presented as age as before the year 2000 CE (b2k).
