- La Economía Entre-vista Carlos Mallorquín Filosofía Toye Tribe Hodgson Furtado Thompson In the last two decades the growth of economic inequalities in Latin America has increased with unprecedented speed. Strategically the advance of neoclassical economic orthodoxy on Latin American, posed the issue in terms that it was their autochthonous economic Ideas (structuralism) the real culprits of much that had been going wrong in these economies. Given that their narrative over what had been going on in Latin America was generally misplaced, the recovery and defense of its ideas is one of the steps necessary to initiate a process of economic growth and redistribution of wealth. On the other hand, the process also would require an examination of the alternatives offered from the not very orthodox camp of economists in the first world, so that we may learn from their experiences to think alternatives in Latin America: that was one of the main reasons that the interviews were undertaken to K. Tribe, J. Toye, G. Hodgson, G. Thompson.
