contents Interacciones sociedad-naturaleza en Mazatlán, Sinaloa José Luis Beraud Lozano Estudios Territoriales Nature Environment Northern Mexico Natural resources The environment of the city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, has beenradically altered, to the degree that its natural habitats are being replaced by artificial ones, and its inhabitants are in the least concerned with preserving some of the characteristic elements of this site, whose name means ?place of deer?, and that former comprised estuarine ecosystems, lagoons and beatiful beaches.
