In addition, further research is needed to define therole of various hormonal contraceptive formulations inpromoting cervical carcinogenesis. While many interestingscientific questions remain to be answered, results from thenumerous epidemiological studies conducted to date indicatethat cervical dysplasia and cancer may be reduced if theoxidant antioxidant ratio is shifted to more of and antioxidantprofile. In addition to cervical cancer screening, a reductionin cervical cancer incidence may be accomplished by reducingtobacco use, increasing nutritional status, and utilizing barriercontraception to prevent infection with other sexuallyacquired infections.
