| contents | Análisis de la ley 387 de 1997: su impacto psicosocial en la población desplazada Armando Aguilera Torrado Política Colombia Legislation Displacement In this article the model of intervention and prevention of forced internal displacement is analysed, as was proposed by the Government in 1997 through law 387. It illustrates how this law is inspired by a technocratic perspective that makes the planning and execution of State policies, where forced displacement is concerned, generate a negative impact on this particular part of the population and also the general social make up.It doesn´t address previous experiences in view of displacement and its complexities; it doesn´t accept a model of self-management where the refugee is concerned and it assumes an external approach of intervention. There are several inconsistencies within law 387 of the year 1997.
