contents Reconfiguration of electric distribution systems Hugh Rudnick Raúl Sanhueza Ildefonso Harnisch Ingeniería Load flow Electric losses Distribution Systems Network reconfiguration A methodology to reconfigure an electric power distribution network under normal operating conditions to reduce theactive losses of the network or to balance the load of the system´s feeders is presented. An heuristic solution algorithm isused. It is based on the method of branch exchange, where different radial configurations are generated, improving theobjective function and originating a sequence of maneuvers to be performed on the network. In order to guide thesearch for configurations, the Power Summation Method is used for load flow calculations, in iterative and directsimplified versions. Significant reductions in CPU time are achieved with the simplified version. Turbo Pascalprogramming facilitates the dynamic handling of the network structore. 1997 artículo científico 0717-1072 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=11400406 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=114 Revista Facultad de Ingeniería application/pdf Universidad de Tarapacá Revista Facultad de Ingeniería (Chile) Num.4
