Poder y políticas de educación superior en América Latina Adrián Acosta Sociología In this work an analysis is made of some of the effects and implications of globalization in the field of higher education in Latin America. From a discussion about the different meanings given to the concept of ?globalization?, a series of institutional and systemic changes are identified in Latin American college education, aimed at building a ?new? university model in that world region during the 1990s.
