contents Urban Settings in the Competition among Cities Philipp Klaus Estudios Culturales Urban Settings in the Competition among Cities Philipp KlausThis paper examines the role of urban settings in the competition among cities. The competition among cities for public and private investments has grown. The tools used to compete have changed in recent years. Traditional locational factors like low taxes, transport infrastructure have lost importance. Instead cities need an attractive urban setting, mainly a culturally interesting offer for highly qualified labour. The production of an urban setting is not all done by public authorities but with the help of subcultures. To outline this thesis is the task of this paper. 2004 artículo científico 1666-2830 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=12400903 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=124 Theomai application/pdf Red Internacional de Estudios sobre Sociedad, Naturaleza y Desarrollo Theomai (Argentina) Num.9
