contents Estudio de los pigmentos de la cerámica ceremonial Moche con ayuda de un microscopio electrónico de barrido Claude Chapdelaine Raymond Mineau Santiago Uceda Multidisciplinarias (Ciencias Sociales) SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE STUDY OF MOCHE CEREMONIAL POTTERY SLIPS. A study of 22 sherds selected from distinct vessels painted with red and white slips has been conducted with a scanning electron microscope. The major research goal was to determine the chemical composition of ceremonial vessels found close to the tomb Nº 5 on Huaca de la Luna, one of the two most important monumental buildings at the Moche Site on the North Coast of Peru. The results confirm the use of iron oxides, probably hematite, to produce the red slip and calcite for the white slip. The possibilities and limits of the method are also discussed. 1997 artículo científico 0303-7495 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=12626204 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=126 Bulletin de l'Institut français d'études andines application/pdf Instituto Francés de Estudios Andinos Bulletin de l'Institut français d'études andines (Perú) Num.2 Vol.26
